By 2050, it is estimated that there will be between 9.2 and 10 billion mouths to feed, in circumstances that the acceleration of climate change has rendered increasingly uncertain.
The poplars used for this study formed part of field tests set up by VIB under the leadership of Prof. Wout Boerjan (VIB/UGent).
