Bleys Annick

Manuscript administrator @ Administrative Support

Scientific writer/editor

In 2001-2002, I did my thesis under the supervision of Dr. Leen Van Houdt in the group of Prof. Ann Depicker at PSB to obtain the degree of Master in Biotechnology, and after obtaining an FWO PhD scholarship, I continued in Ann's group with my research about sequence-specific gene silencing by transitive signals in plants. After obtaining my PhD in 2006, I did a postdoc for two years in the group of Dr. Pierre Hilson at PSB, after which I worked for three years as a Research Consultant for PharmaVize (Ardena). In August 2011, I returned to UGent/PSB as scientific editor, reviewing papers of all groups, and as administrative support for PSB and for the UGent Department of Biotechnology and Biotechnology.
